I Didn’t Return
By: Cameron England

My life may have
Ended here in
Auschwitz
But you need to
 Know my life wasn’t
Too Well
Here in Auschwitz
Killing yelling
Sometimes
Even people fighting
Too hard
Too sad
For me

Sill I Rise Poems

Still I Live
By: Casey Stophel

I know you want me gone
But I am hear to stay
Even though death is staring
Me in the face
I’m not scared
Even though you believe
I’ll make it through with or without you
Don’t comfort me now
You’ve said what you needed
To say
Now death is staring you in the face
Now I’ve said what I needed to say
As I
Live
I Live
I Live

Rise
By: Rocket Smith

You can make me vilify you can tantalize and despise but
I will rise I see your hatred in your eyes
With your mouth of lies
But I will rise
You say I’m lethargic but I say I’m credible
Not edible
And agile also have a great sense of style and
I will rise
Your very malicious not vivacious
I’m not perturbed
Just leave me be do not disturb
I will rise
Because all of your words saying
I cant, I wont, I will never,
Is my fuel emboldening me
I will rise
I will rise
I will rise

By: Trevelle Jones

I’m nobody who are you (hunger games tribute)
By: Esau Carlisle

I’m a boy who are you
We have visions of our future life
But in the end one will survive
It’s all part of the game I don’t want to die

I am Different.  Who are you?
By: J’Angelica Abney

I am different! Who are?
Are you different too?
Then we are two different- it’s
Our little secret
They’d shun us- you
Know what I’m talking about!
It’s not that bad to be, different
It’s also not that good to be normal.
Please don’t say who I am
And I won’t tell who you are.

I am
By: Elizabeth Watkins

I am an artist who are you?
Are you an artist too?
Of course you are! You can draw a perfect circle!
You can mix paint to get purple.
You can sculpt anything out of clay.
You’ll design anything anyway.
You’re an artist just like me!
Can we work together please?

I Am Nobody.  Who are you?

I am nobody who are you?
are you nobody too?
they say they can't see me cry
but i bet if they looked closer
they could see the tears falling
like rain drops
they say be yourself
but in return they judge me
we can be nobody together
forever

Rescue Me Poems

Rescue it
By-Elijah Weatherspoon
           Please rescue me
         From Tyler’s stomach
Please I want to be free
      But not the nasty way
Because it takes day after day

For Tyler to go to the bathroom
         And just let me out
      Yes I’m his ham samich
          I’d just love to say

If I could go out the clean way

Rescue Me

I want to go home I’m beginning  to thrive
I want my mom to pick me up, you see
So I can go home and drink Canadian tea.
My stomach hurts right now, you know
It feels like its about to blow!
Come on mom just rescue me,
You can drop me off I have a Key!!

Rescue Me
By: Cameron England

Help, Help, Please help me
I just want to be free behind bars
Isn’t the life for me
please oh please free me

I didn’t mean to run I was scared
Scared of the gun behind the door
So I ran please oh please free
Me!

Rescue Me
By: Ta’aliyah Ross

I’m sitting here behind these fences
Seeing the world from others perspective,
Rescue me from my own misery my life
Is a small bit of land cut of from the world;
Rescue me from the people that hate me;
Rescue me so I don’t have to be scared
Of going in to those chambers and never coming out;
Being a slave all my life just because I was a JEW
Rescue me let me be free just like a butterfly
Rescue me.

Fear Poems

Fear Poem
By:  Sophia McMillan

The cat and a mouse in a maze of a house
Running around in circles going through walls and doors
Don’t be seen or heard or they’ll hate you even more

Life as a mouse can be hard as you may see Tom V.S.  Jerry and me!!

Fear Of Eyes
By: Erika Hobart

I sit in the back all nice and quiet
I read and do my work
I study hard as a rock
The one thing I fear is the feeling of-
 EYES
They follow you in paintings
All they do is judge
When someone stares,
I try no to care.
But inside I feel Embarrassed

I think that I shall never see

I think that I shall never see
By: Colwyn Meadows

I think that I shall never see
A brain like mine seems to be
A brain full of emptiness
A brain as blank as an all white room
And as small as a peanut
Poems are made by fools like me
But I have only one brain that’s empty

I think that I shall never see
By: Rocket Smith

I think that I shall never see
Bradley make a three
He shoots the ball from his chest
And then claims he’s the best
He would be better if he was tall
He would probably still shoot an air ball
But my boy Shameek – swish the net
Then Bradley gives $20 because he lost the bet
Poems are made by fools like me
But at least I can make a three

I think that I shall never see
By: Cameron England

I think that I shall never see
A day as beautiful as a bee
A day where we all fly
High into the lovely sky
Work on the sweet flowers
And run from the April and May showers
Poems are made by fools like me
Thinking of those crazy bees?

I think that I shall never see
By: Albert Aguilar

I think that I shall never see
A poem this awesome written by me
With all of its words phrased
Like a teenager with moods and phases
Poems take words to beautiful places
Poems are written by fools like me

I’ve never seen a poem so lovely

I Think That I Shall Never See
By: Bailey Sanders

I think that i shall never see
a perfect scratch upon my knee
a scratch that's meaningful and fair
with a tiny bit of hair
that stands our from all the rest
especially at the October fest
poems are made by fools like me
but all i have is scratch on my knee

Metaphor Poems

Colors are Emotions
By: Casey Stophel

Colors are emotions
The bright and cheery
Oranges and yellows of sunshine
The mellow green of pastures
The dark and mysterious
Purples and blued of the unforgotten bruises
And the dark unforgiving, hateful
Black which enters our bodies
Like viruses
Then the fiery anger of
Red flows through
And then suddenly
There is nothing but
 A white blanket of

Nothing

Life is a Soccer Ball
By: Trevelle Jones

Life is a soccer ball
Sometimes you kick it straight down
The right path but there will always be
A bump or two.  Sometimes it might
Turn or even not go far enough, but in
The end you always tried your best

Music
By: Mura Duke

Music is me
Classical is my calm
Rock is my freedom
Techno is my smarts
Jazz is a part of my arts
Country is my wild side
Punk is my pride
The music describes she

Pet Poems

My Loco Dog
By: Zach Smith

You used to be a nut
And also a lonely  mutt
But now we took you in
Because you were to hungry and thin
I’ve never known a better pet
But go crazy on the vet
We will always be friends no matter how loco
Hopefully you’ll learn not to burn your tongue –

By stealing my hot cocoa!

Horse
By: Sam Armstrong

Wild, running free
Bucking and crazy as can be.
14 hand – black brown
And white, my
Little Paint shines all night.
The black mane whipping
Back as the other horses
Plan how to attach.
In the corner
F the pasture
Standing in the
Open.  I love
My Hurricane Hugo

Jax
By: Hailey Kerlin

Jax always hacks at the ball
Inside outside just
Want to play the day away
First time we got him we played fetch
For an hour – still not tired
I couldn’t go on
He won’t drink from
His bowl, only the toilet
Never finishes his dog food
Only his table scraps
Doesn’t sleep on hi s
Bed – only mine

Sumo
By: Rudy Paisley

Fear her always
Beware of cat
Dog’s have been warned
One stomp and you’re
Dead
Dog – fast, sight, hear, feel
Sumo the cat 17 pounds
79  time champion
World boxing
Dog – 4 pounds
Zero time champion

Dorkey
By: Eric Remaly

Oh young little dog
You’re as dumb as a log
You run into the wall
You dump your food out of da dish
And put it in a circle – oh why??
Oh why I wonder??? Young little dog
Did you run into the
Wall that changed your life?
I always wonder
Young little dog
As dumb as a
LOG!!!

Steeley
By: Parker Benedict

Very old
You were a good dog
Laying down with me at night
I would always call you
But you were deaf and couldn’t listen
Blind as can be
You couldn’t see at all
Always running into the walls
Your silly dog
Then the day came
You were finally sent to heaven
The part is
You passed by falling down the stairs
And hitting your small head

Color Poems

What is Brown
By: Timothy Watson

Brown is Dr. Pepper
The color of the trash receptor
The foliage of the trunks of trees
The hiding place of the birds and bees
The skin of the deer and beavers
The baskets of the basket weavers
The color of the desks in school

That’s why I think brown is cool.

What is Yellow
By: Esau Carlisle

Yellow is a mile
Then sun on a
Happy day a banana
In a tree the book
In front of me
A bird that needs
To learn how to
Fly like a normal
Bird. A bee as bright
As the sun stings
Like a lemon

What is Red
By: Mira Duke

Red is the color of a dangerous rose
The color of your cheeks when embarrassed
An apple so ripe
The color of flags
Red is the color of a dangerous rose
The color of a dress when striking a pose
A color in the fire, dancing with its orange friend
A child’s balloon
Red is the color of a dangerous rose
The color of someone’s blood as it drips down the knife

What is White
By: Tamera Lepore

White is a light
A pencil
A start at night
A blank canvas waiting to be painted
A page waiting to be read
Whist is light shining bright in the dark
A flare
A phosphorescent color
I am drawn to
White potential
The day
The night
The sea
Paper
Canvas
Ceilings
And an actual color waiting to be free

What is White
By: Cameron England

White is a fluffy
Could
Marshmallows
And snow falling
Down
The best color
You can find
And you can find
It all around
High and low
Even in the night
You will see white for
The rest of your life
White is
A calm color
If you see white
In your head you must
Not go the dreaded read
